The Project:

Previously an IKEA store, Drumsheds has been transformed into a versatile venue available for hire across a range of events. From exhibitions and conferences to fashion shows, brand launches, and filming,

Drumsheds combines industrial charm with cutting-edge infrastructure, offering a unique backdrop for every occasion.

Our Solution:

The Noba team were on site for 3 months installing cutting-edge tech to support Broadwick clients with the ultimate in event connectivity.

The team installed 120 CCTV cameras, 200 wireless access points, and  eight comms rooms.

It took the team over 400 man days across 3 months to get this awesome venue up and running for the hundreds of music and corporate events booked for 2024.

Challenges:

The sheer size of the venue at 608,000 sq ft, with a 15,000 capacity, was challenging enough!

The existing cabling was not useable and needed to be completely ripped out, and new cabling was laid in a rigid timeline of just 3 months due to high-profile gigs already booked and sold in the venue.

Supporting this hybrid fixed/temporary overlay project for Broadwick, Noba undertook an intensive 7-week programme of modifications, works and new installations in this fantastic building, launching straight into Broadwick’s Autumn Winter series of events at this New Centre for Culture. Huge congrats to all the teams and contractors involved in the transformation of the DRUMSHEDS from a former Ikea Store into this fabulous multi-purpose venue!
