The Project:

The UEFA Champions League between German club Borussia Dortmund and Spanish club Real Madrid was held at Wembley Stadium in London, on 1 June 2024,  This highlight of European football’s club calendar returned to the London venue for a record eighth time and the third in the UEFA Champions League era following the 2011 and 2013 finals.

The game was streamed live to the fan zone on London’s Victoria Embankment, where supporters enjoyed live entertainment, activations bars and catering facilities.

Our Solution:

Noba rolled out blazing-fast WiFi for bars and ticketing, a dedicated fibre internet connection, and site-wide CCTV for the safe running of the event.

We provided connectivity for 500 + users and devices for production and core services. 10Gbps fibre internet connection delivered to the pavement.

Challenges:

The main challenge was the overnight build as it was a main thoroughfare through London, so it could only be shut between 10pm and 6am.

I just wanted to take a few moments to send my appreciation to all of you for helping me and the wider LS team to deliver such a fantastic show for the Real Madrid fans on Saturday, 1st June, on Victoria Embankment.

To build, brand, operate and design a show of that size and complexity in 40 hours without one raised voice, serious injury or property damage is a testament to the professionalism shown by you and your wider team.
