The Challenge
When a global corporate client approached Noba to provide connectivity for a multi-venue event programme across Madrid, the brief was anything but straightforward.
Over several days, activity would take place across five separate venues, ranging from large conference centres to unique gallery and hospitality spaces across the city. Some events would run one after another, while others would be live simultaneously, creating a complex operational environment with multiple stakeholders, suppliers and production teams relying on connectivity at the same time.
The client needed a single connectivity partner capable of delivering a consistent, reliable service across every venue while managing the logistical challenges of deploying specialist networking equipment internationally.
With delegates moving between locations and event teams working across multiple sites, there was no room for compromise.
The Solution
Noba designed and delivered a bespoke connectivity solution that treated the five venues as one connected event ecosystem.
Working closely with the client and venue teams, we planned, deployed and managed connectivity across all locations, ensuring each venue received the right solution for its specific requirements while maintaining a consistent user experience throughout the programme.

More Than Just WiFi
What made this project particularly interesting wasn’t simply the number of venues.
It was the variety.
Over the course of the programme, connectivity was required across conference environments, gallery spaces and hospitality venues, each presenting different infrastructure challenges and operational requirements.
Some venues had existing connectivity services that needed integrating into the event network. Others required temporary infrastructure to be deployed from scratch.
Our role was to make all of that complexity invisible to the client and attendees.
Whether delegates were attending a keynote session, networking reception or private gallery event, connectivity simply worked.
International Logistics & ATA Carnets
One of the biggest challenges of delivering events internationally is often what happens before a single cable is plugged in.
Moving specialist networking equipment across borders requires careful planning, accurate documentation and strict compliance with customs regulations.
For this project, Noba managed the international deployment of equipment from the UK into Spain using an ATA Carnet.
Often referred to as a “passport for goods”, an ATA Carnet allows professional equipment to move temporarily between countries without incurring unnecessary duties, taxes or customs delays.
The process included:

- ATA Carnet preparation
- Customs documentation
- Import and export administration
- International logistics coordination
- Compliance management
